As Director of Neonatology at St. Francis Hospital, Dr. Sunny Patel leads a dedicated team committed to delivering high-quality, family-centered care for newborns and their families. He is passionate about clinical excellence, physician education, and fostering collaborative care environments that support the best possible outcomes for patients.

Dr. Patel completed his Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine fellowship at East Carolina University and has expertise in high-risk resuscitation and the management of complex neonatal conditions. His research interests include neonatal blood pressure management, bone health in infants with chronic kidney disease, and neurodevelopmental outcomes in extremely low birth weight infants.

A dedicated educator, Dr. Patel regularly teaches neonatal resuscitation and facilitates clinical case reviews to promote continuous learning and quality improvement.
