Jonathan Mintzer, MD
Director of Neonatology

Dr. Jonathan Mintzer is the Director of Neonatology at Mountainside Medical Center in Montclair, New Jersey, and is board-certified in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine and Pediatrics. He previously held academic and clinical roles at Stony Brook Children’s Hospital, where he served as an Associate Professor.
Dr. Mintzer has contributed to research in neonatal monitoring and respiratory support, helping advance evidence-based care practices. His work supports improved outcomes and strengthens clinical excellence in neonatal care at Mountainside Medical Center.
A musician at heart, Dr. Mintzer enjoys playing piano and drums, exploring new music genres, and staying active through fitness and travel. His creativity and curiosity extend beyond the NICU and into many aspects of his everyday life.
