In these days of hospital budget limitations and over-regulation, let me personally thank you for revolutionizing neonatal care at our institution.
Having your trained people present 24 hours a day, 7 days a week has elevated perinatal care to a level never before seen at CentraState Medical Center in the 30 years I have practiced there.
The training you have brought to the nursing staff and obsteric staff has provided us with a marketing tool that the public relations staff has successfully exploited.
Let me reassure you that we are totally supportive of your presence in spite of the recent attempt by political forces at the tertiary level of care to imply that these babies should be cared for by their organization. Their recent attempt to do this only speaks for the total success of your program.
There is not a day that goes by in the office that a patient does not question us about the capability of the hospital to handle high risk pregnancies, especially prematurity and twins. Needless to say, having your team as an itegral part of obstetrics and neonatal care brings me back to the university atmosphere in which I first trained. I am extremely proud of the outstanding care we are currently providing to the members of our community. Thanks again for your contribution to this achievement.
