For premature or unstable full-term infants, specialized neonatal care can mean the difference between life and death. Or the difference between a baby who grows up healthy, and one with serious complications that affect his or her entire life.

But to be effective, neonatal intervention must be delivered within a very short time window: the first five minutes. That’s why the most advanced, Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs) have in-house neonatal coverage around the clock.

However, when I left the Level III NICUs where I trained in neonatology, I discovered that most community-hospital special care or intermediate care nurseries are covered by an on-call neonatologist. An on-call doctor may be as much as half an hour away when an emergency develops.

That’s why I started Onsite Neonatal Partners, Inc. in 1996: to ensure that every baby who needs neonatal intervention can receive it during those critical first five minutes.

The model I envisioned for providing 24-hour, Onsite neonatal services had to meet some stringent requirements. Superb neonatal care was a given. Equally important was a financial model that would enable ordinary community hospitals to step up to our services without compromise.

Onsite has achieved those goals, and more. Onsite:

  • Saves lives and improves babies’ health
  • Helps our hospital clients to
—Raise the level of care their nurseries offer
    —Serve their communities better
    —Increase services and revenues
  • Reduces birth risk and helps OBs and nurse midwives to continue their practices

I’m proud of what Onsite is achieving every day. And I’d like to bring Onsite’s services and benefits to your hospital too.

Please call me personally if you would like to discuss what Onsite could do for your hospital.
