Full-time Onsite neonatologists work 8 to 10 24-hour shifts per 4- week block, depending on how they prefer to balance their time and income. About 25% of their shifts fall on Saturday or Sunday, but never both together on the same weekend.

The other 20 days per month are yours to spend as you like, without unscheduled interruptions. You know your schedule in advance, and have considerable influence in determining which days you will work.
