Each year, Onsite physicians supervise care and reduce risk for over 12,000 newborns—and the hospitals and doctors who care for them.

Our patients range from premature infants as early as 24 weeks to full-term newborns who unexpectedly demonstrate signs of distress. Although the majority require only minimal interventions, in thousands of cases, Onsite’s neonatologists have made a life-altering difference:

• A father rushes the full-term infant from the mother’s room to the nursery; she’s turning blue. It’s Onsite’s first night in house; because a neonatologist is available immediately to do this difficult emergency resuscitation, the infant is successfully stabilized.
• Labor begins 11 weeks early. Onsite’s physician is there to stabilize the premature infant at birth. After 5 weeks of monitoring in the intensive-care nursery, a healthy baby goes home with his parents.
• Fetal stress suddenly demands an emergency c-section.  Onsite’s neonatologist is on hand to perform the resuscitation and ensure a healthy outcome.

Delivery has always been risky for mothers and babies. Today, the hospitals and doctors who perform deliveries share the risk. Having Onsite physicians ready in the hospital for any emergency helps reduce that risk for everyone involved.
