Policy review: Excellent care and reduced risk begins with a commitment to careful standards and seamless teamwork. Before Onsite begins providing care at your hospital, we do a thorough review of policies and procedures against AAP and ACOG standards and offer you a comprehensive set of recommendations.
Core staffing: For each hospital, we establish a core team of neonatologists that will work in your nursery. Your nursing staff, obstetricians and pediatricians work with just a few neonatologists that they come to know well and work with smoothly.
Having a consistent core staff enables Onsite neonatologists to focus entirely on quality of care and to think about ways to continually improve our services—because unlike neonatologists at many other organizations, Onsite physicians don’t have to scramble to cover extra shifts or orient yet another per-diem colleague.
Evidence-based medicine: Onsite also works closely with your nursing staff and administration to develop evidence-based, best-practice protocols.
Staff education: We offer extensive education for your staff and residents, including scheduled didactic lectures, bedside teaching, and Socratic case study reviews.
Consulting: Our nurseries always exceed JCAHO standards. We’ve been instrumental in helping several client hospitals expand facilities and even raise the level of care in their nursery from Level II to Level III care. One hospital we serve received the prestigious Malcolm Baldrige Award from the President of the United States; we worked closely with them over several years to ensure the nursery met the exceptional standards required.
