Kettering Medical Center has 481 certified beds and approximately 1,074 employees.  The hospital was founded in 1964 in honor of Charles F. Kettering, a great American inventor and activist for quality health care for all citizens.  There are 2,400 deliveries per year at Kettering Medical Center in a 15 bed  Special Care Unit.  This progressive organization is undergoing major renovations to their Special Care Unit and once completed, they will have a 20 bed state of the art Neonatal Intensive Care Unit with an endless potential for growth.  Another fine example of serving the needs of the community. 
 
Southview Medical Center is located five miles north in Dayton, Ohio and is a 116 bed acute care hospital featuring a busy maternity center with 2,000 deliveries in a 6 bed Special Care Nursery.
